Walking Therapy. Pen Ponds Richmond Park

Walk it Through

Alongside working with clients indoors, I also offer sessions outdoors in both Bushy Park, Teddington and Richmond Park.
Our first session would take place at my practice in Teddington. At this assessment session, we would determine whether walking therapy would be suitable for you. If so, we would meet for a second session (and any / all further sessions) at an agreed place and time in either Bushy Park or Richmond Park.

Walking is scientifically proven to be one of the most effective ways to reduce stress. Therefore integrating walking with counselling in a natural outdoor setting, can make this a very effective, powerful and reparative model.

Walking outdoors provides the client and therapist with physical space, head space, fresh air and endorphin-releasing mood-enhancing exercise.

Sometimes, there is something in the rhythm of walking that can help us get to those places we need to explore and process. By combining a therapy session whilst walking in a naturally beautiful environment we have found there to be many benefits to be had.
